Community efforts and interdepartmental cooperation come to the forefront as the DeSoto Police Department announces the safe location of a previously missing 60-year-old man. Floyd Jerome Luke, who was reported missing by his roommate from the 900 block of Hunters Creek Drive, has been found and is currently being reunited with his family.

Earlier in the day of his disappearance, the DeSoto Police Department had activated a coordinated response, including issuing a Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue (CLEAR) Alert in collaboration with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Acknowledging the possibility that Mr. Luke might be suffering from a diminished mental capacity due to an accident he was involved in recently.

They appealed to the public for any information on his whereabouts. With efforts on the ground by Desoto Patrol Officers (Alpha Shift) and support from the neighboring Lancaster Police Department, the search ultimately proved successful.
