According to the official press release, the man was struck by at least one vehicle while crossing University Boulevard at East Franklin Avenue around 6:11 p.m.
The injured pedestrian is described as a Hispanic male, believed to be in his early thirties wearing jeans, a black jacket, and a black shirt. Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) speculate that he may reside near the area where the incident took place. Given the severity of his injuries, he was rushed to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
