
Early on New Year's Day, two individuals were hospitalized following a shooting inside a residential building in Arlington. According to WJLA, Arlington County police confirmed that the incident occurred near Marymount University's Ballston campus at the Placemakr Hotel around 2 a.m. as they worked to reconstruct the sequence of events.
According to the initial investigation, one of the victims was discovered with gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to the hospital. Another victim sported to the hospital by their own means. Both individuals suffered injuries described by the police as non-life threatening. As of now, the authorities have yet to publicly identify any suspects or make arrests in connection to the shooting.
The circumstances that led up to the violence remain unclear, and the Arlington County Police Department is actively seeking information from the community.
