The North Las Vegas Police Department's narcotics team made progress in the fight against dangerous drugs, seizing a significant stash of fentanyl and methamphetamine. The NLVPD celebrated this achievement on social media by posting, "Our Narcotics Team just flipped the switch on this dangerous stash, keeping fentanyl and meth off our streets."
Along with the announcement of the bust, the department provided important safety tips. For fentanyl, which can be lethal even in small amounts, they recommend avoiding contact with suspicious pills or powders and calling 911 immediately if encountered. "Always carry Narcan if you or someone you know may be at risk," the post added, nodding to the opioid antidote's life-saving potential. The NLVPD also highlighted the destructive impact of methamphetamine on individuals and families, encouraging the public to recognize the warning signs of meth-related activity and report any concerns to local authorities.
In their social media announcement, NLVPD emphasized the collective effort required to combat the dangers of drug abuse, stating, "Together, we can combat the dangers these drugs bring and keep our neighborhoods safe." Recognizing the accomplishments of the narcotics team, the post proudly commends the officers involved.
