The New York Police Department is on the lookout for a male suspect involved in a recent robbery in the Bronx. Details from NYPD Crimestoppers' Facebook post reveal that on Sunday, January 19, an unidentified individual entered a business located at 1201 East 223 Street, armed with a knife. The suspect managed to forcibly take an undisclosed sum of money from the cash register before fleeing the scene.
Authorities are urging anybody with information to come forward and assist in capturing the suspect. Displaying the knife, the criminal proceeded to remove the currency reel by reel from its place of transaction, an act caught by the establishment's surveillance cameras. "Any information call us at 800-577-TIPS or anonymously post on our website http://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org," states the NYPD Crimestoppers post. They are offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in the robbery.
