An Orlando resident, Matthew Inman, 39, finds himself in legal turmoil following an FBI investigation that culminated in his arrest on charges of trafficking child pornography. According to a report by WFTV, an undercover sting operation exposed Inman's alleged attempts to receive and distribute sexually explicit videos involving minors. Officials say that these videos depicted chilling scenes of adults sexually assaulting young children.
Adding to the gravity of the accusations, Inman was purportedly caught trying to quickly delete incriminatory evidence from his devices and conceal himself in his home's attic upon the arrival of law enforcement. The allegations extend to Inman's online activities while visiting Las Vegas in October of 2024, where he is accused of having engaged in conversation with an undercover officer he believed to be the father of a 9-year-old boy. Court documents indicate Inman allegedly shared his intentions to meet and sexually exploit the child.
In the wake of these developments, Inman's connection with Visit Orlando, a local tourism organization, has been severed. "Matthew Inman is no longer employed by Visit Orlando. Once we learned of the charges, we immediately started the process to terminate. The termination was effective on January 21," the company stated, according to WFTV. Beyond his employment, Inman's affiliations with political groups including the Orange County Democratic Party and Rainbow Democrats have become points of focus, with both organizations having issued public statements on their respective Facebook pages in response to his arrest.
Further details provided by Orlando-News clarify that, if convicted, Inman could face a sentence ranging from five to 20 years in federal prison.
