
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in San Jacinto on Thursday evening. The incident occurred south of Ramona Boulevard on State Street, prompting a response from local authorities at approximately 6:12 p.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Despite efforts by deputies to administer life-saving measures, the individual, a male who has yet to be publicly identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Team has taken to fully investigate the situation. Early findings suggest the man may have been impaired by drugs or alcohol when he stumbled onto the road before being hit, as noted by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The driver involved remained on-site, fully cooperating with law enforcement. Their identity has not been disclosed, and there have been no immediate reports of charges as the inquiry continues. The collision led to the temporary closure of State Street, generating traffic disruptions between De Azna Drive and Ramona Boulevard.
