The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking public help to locate a suspect involved in an armed robbery in Northwest Washington on New Year's Day, just after 10 p.m.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, authorities say the suspect attempted to enter a business on the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. The individual then displayed a handgun and demanded property from an employee, who complied. The suspect fled the scene around 10:15 p.m.
Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect and are asking the public to view it in hopes of identifying the individual.
The Metropolitan Police Department urge anyone with information to contact the police directly at (202) 727-9099 or text the TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to the suspect's arrest and conviction.
