Hawai‘i Island police have issued another plea to the public, seeking any information that could help locate 76-year-old William Romeo Bishop Sr. who vanished nearly two years ago. Bishop was reportedly last observed on the afternoon of January 22, 2023, in the Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision, Kea‘au, close to his residence on 22nd Avenue. According to Nixle, Bishop has not been seen or heard from since his disappearance, and his family is concerned for his safety and well-being.
Described with a light complexion, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing around 170 pounds, Bishop has gray hair and green eyes. Following the recovery of Bishop's 2019 Toyota Corolla, the investigation has made little progress despite thorough interviews and follow-up actions by detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Section. In an effort to obtain information on his whereabouts, Bishop's family has offered a cash reward.
Police have continued to pursue leads over the past two years as part of their ongoing investigation into the disappearance. They are now appealing to the public for any information, no matter how minor it may seem, to assist in the case. Authorities are asking anyone with relevant details to contact the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
