As spring approaches, Sutter Health Park is preparing for the upcoming baseball season by hosting a job fair at the Golden 1 Center to fill over 300 positions. According to KCRA, the Sacramento River Cats and the Athletics, who have sold out their 2025 season tickets, are looking to hire staff for guest services, security, and bartending to manage the expected crowds.
The surge in applications comes after the A's sold out their 2025 season tickets, creating a waiting list for 2026 before the start of the upcoming season. As part of the Sacramento sports scene, Athletics manager Mark Kotsay and players were given courtside seats at a nearby Sacramento Kings game, where they were greeted warmly. "Seeing the passion that the fans had for that team made us hungry to get out there and put a good product on the field so we could experience the same thing," Brent Rooker told MLB.com during a break in the action at the game.
The sell-out of the Athletics' tickets reflects the anticipation surrounding the team's temporary relocation to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, which is currently being renovated to meet Major League standards before the A's first game on March 31. Single-game tickets, set to go on sale at the end of January, will be available for those still looking to attend. Additionally, single-game luxury suites will be offered starting Thursday, providing premium seating with panoramic views of the ballpark.
As the new home of Major League Baseball in Sacramento, Sutter Health Park’s capacity of 14,014 will provide a more intimate setting, with a full stadium expected at each game. JP Sears, reflecting on the opportunity, said to MLB.com, "I haven’t been this excited for a baseball season in my life."
