The case of an unidentified woman, dubbed Jane Doe, has prompted the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office to request assistance from the public. On January 10, the woman was found in a state of unresponsiveness in the parking lot of the Palomar Street MTS Station in Chula Vista. Subsequently, she was pronounced dead at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista, as reported by the County of San Diego. Despite exhaustive investigations, the identity of the woman remains a mystery.
Authorities describe Jane Doe as Hispanic or bi-racial, believed to be aged between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing 166 pounds. Her hair was wavy and black, her eyes brown. Distinctive tattoos mark her appearance, including a rose on the outer corner of her left eye, the name “Samantha” on her right rib cage, the outline of a heart on her right chest, and a money bag on her right ring finger. These details, shared in hopes that they might jog the memory of someone who knew her, are vital in the ongoing investigation.
The Medical Examiner's Office urges anyone with information that might lead to identifying Jane Doe to come forward. Such details can aid not just in closing a case but in providing closure to loved ones who may be unaware of her fate. "Anyone who believes they may know the woman’s identity is asked to contact the Medical Examiner’s Investigations Unit," indicates the case number to reference, 2025-00128, for potential leads, as per the County of San Diego.
