Upon arrival, the San Jose Fire Department encountered live wires down at a single-family residence engulfed in flames. The swift action by responders successfully led all occupants to safety. Traffic around the scene was significantly affected, with advisories for the public to avoid the area, as both directions of Monterey Rd faced interruptions.
According to CBS San Francisco, the fire was subdued and fully knocked down by 4:45 p.m. This prompt control of the fire prevented any injuries, though the incident disrupted local VTA services and required Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) attention to the compromised power lines.
