The Seattle Police Department is actively seeking public input to help identify a suspect involved in a high-value robbery at the downtown Tiffany & Co. store. The male suspect made off with a bracelet valued at $27,000. The crime unfolded around 4:40 p.m., with the suspect posing as a customer before sprinting away with the jewelry and fleeing headlong into a thwarted effort to escape security personnel, according to the Seattle Police Department.
During the incident on Pine Street, which was immediately attended to by patrol officers, the man experienced a physical altercation with both store security and, later, a Pacific Place security officer, who ultimately succeeded in retrieving the valuable gold and diamond bracelet. Despite the tussle, the bracelet was wrested from the suspect's wrist and secured safely back at Tiffany’s. Still, the suspect himself slipped away, and detectives have since been working the case, canvassing for leads on his whereabouts. The suspect is noted to be a white male in his 20s, roughly 160 pounds, standing at about 5'9" tall, with a lean frame and short dark hair. He was donning white Apple AirPods, a dark blue puffer jacket emblazoned with a white North Face logo, complemented with a gray t-shirt, black pants, and black and white New Balance sneakers. The Seattle police gathered various pieces of evidence at the scene.
This individual is not new to law enforcement, having been implicated in a linked investigation by the Bellevue Police Department. This prior incident, which transpired on December 26, 2024, also involved the theft of high-end Tiffany jewelry, specifically, a pavé bangle priced at $16,000. Hence, this pattern of theft has caught the attention of multiple jurisdictions within the area.
Authorities are contacting the community for any potential insights into the suspect's identity. Residents are encouraged to report any relevant information by dialing 911 or contacting the SPD’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
