An infusion of energy is on the horizon for St. Louis Community College (STLCC) as the institution dives into its next development phase. With six new buildings on the docket, an array of renovations is set to revamp the educational experience for students across the district. The ambitious initiative, dubbed STLCC Transformed, is chronicled at the college's online hub, a one-stop repository for all updates related to these changes.
The hub invites onlookers to bookmark the page, ensuring the STLCC community stays in the loop on construction timetables and the effects of ongoing work, according to information released by the college. Among the first to feel the wave of transformation is the Florissant Valley campus, with the Student Center due to close its doors December 20, 2024, followed by several service relocations to accommodate the 2025 renovations.
As sections of the campus prepare for a facelift, temporary shifting of critical student services will see the Administration's Access Office move to A114 and Campus Life alongside Student IDs be stationed in A245. Communication-related services, including Archers Market and Black Male Achievers amongst others, will find their interim home in a cluster of rooms ranging from C112 to C174. This reshuffle signifies STLCC's commitment to maintaining operations and ensuring minimal disruption to their students' academic journey.
Over at the Forest Park campus, the culinary arts program is stirring the pot of change by moving kitchen spaces and offices to make way for January's planned renovations. Detailed as a phased project and designed to minimize inconvenience, the Student Center is gearing up to undergo a progressive transformation stretching over a year and a half, starting with advising and recruitment services that, come February, will relocate temporarily as the construction's first phase kicks in.
