The Tawas City Police Department is now investigating an inmate at Iosco County Jail who was found unresponsive in his cell on December 26, 2024. The deceased was 43-year-old Saginaw resident Arista Glen Hunt, who previously lived in Tawas City. According to WNEM, he was pronounced dead shortly after correction officers discovered him and initiated CPR efforts.
The investigation, led by the Tawas City PD, will closely examine all relevant evidence, including surveillance footage from Hunt's transfer into the jail on December 23 to the time of his death.
