Authorities in San Bernardino County made three arrests on Thursday evening after deputies responded to a Fentanyl overdose and uncovered four young children living in harrowing conditions. The incident, which unfolded in Adelanto, revealed a trailer where narcotics and drug paraphernalia were within arm's reach of the children, aged between six and ten. According to the SBSD Victor Valley Sheriff's Department, the children were asleep in the trailer when deputies arrived at the 12000 block of Chamberlaine Way following a distressing call at 9:07 pm.

Following the deputies' life-saving intervention using NARCAN and subsequent handoff to paramedics, Jonathan Garcia, along with Moriah Amesquita and Jacob Hernandez – the children's parents – were taken into custody under this new framework. It is noted that Amesquita was found in possession of Fentanyl during booking procedures, as detailed by the SBSD Victor Valley Sheriff's Department.

The affected minors were removed from the residence after immediate medical evaluations, now under the care of Child and Family Services. Public safety officials are continuing to dig into the case, urging anyone with potentially relevant information to come forward. The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station has been pointed out as the primary contact point for the ongoing investigation, with Deputy N. Serna leading the inquiries.
