The Brentwood neighborhood in Jacksonville was the scene of a brutal shooting early this morning, resulting in two men sustaining critical injuries after being shot in the face. According to WOKV, a neighbor reportedly checked on the residence after hearing gunshots and discovered both victims, one in his 60s, the other in his 40s, within the 4300 block of Main Street; their identities have not been disclosed yet.
The assailant, described as wearing a ski mask, forcefully entered the apartment, carried out the shooting, then stole a set of keys and fled the scene in a silver Buick Lacrosse, the vehicle belonging to one of the victims, nevertheless, as the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office relayed, no arrests have been made concerning this case and the motive for the shooting remains a mystery.
