The Union County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a 47-year-old tennis coach, Timi Kano Solomon, amid allegations of sexual assault involving a minor. Through a statement published on their Facebook page, the UCSO confirmed that detectives from the Special Victims Unit charged Solomon following claims of inappropriate sexual conduct revealed by a local young person who was receiving private tennis coaching from him.
The investigation, which has been described as extensive, started when the survivor courageously came forward with the information. As the detectives diligently followed up with every lead, their efforts culminated in pressing multiple charges against Solomon, which include Statutory Sexual Offense with a Child and Indecent Liberties with a Child. He was processed into the Union County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $100,000, which he has since posted for his release.
