The search is underway for a missing man in Philadelphia. According to a bulletin posted by Philadelphia Police Department Central Detectives Unit, 59-year-old Raymond Shires was last seen at the Pennsylvania Convention Center yesterday. Shires, said to be endangered, was observed walking westbound on the 1200 block of Arch Street at around 1:10 p.m.
Police describe Raymond as a white male, standing 6’1’’ tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he was clad in a black Polo jacket, an Eagles hat, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers. The authorities have called upon anyone with information about Shires' whereabouts to come forward and offer assistance in the ongoing search.
Central Detectives are heading the investigation and they have urged the public to be vigilant and to reach out with any details that might lead to locating Shires.
As the community grapples with the disappearance, the police are not the only ones conducting searches.
