Wadesboro, North Carolina has experienced a surge of violence, with two separate shootings occurring within less than a day of each other, both incidents are still under investigation with few details released to the public. The first incident, at a Dollar General store, happened just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday where one person was shot and another sustained injuries from shattered glass after the shooting, as reported by WCNC. Witnesses told authorities that they saw two individuals flee the scene on foot, but as of now, the police have not identified any suspects nor made any arrests.
The Wadesboro Police Department confirmed that officers responded to the scene at the Dollar General on 1301 East Caswell Street, discovering that one victim was shot, and a second was injured related to the shooting both victims were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. Less than 24 hours later a double shooting occurred on Thursday morning on East Wade Street at Sheldon Circle leading to one death and another injury, the conditions of those involved have not been released, details were shared by WSOCTV.
