Three individuals, including a high school teacher, face multiple charges after a drug deal took place at a 7-11 in Warren on Tuesday. The incident has led to serious legal consequences for those involved, according to the Macomb County.

Christopher Filiccia, a teacher at Lincoln High School, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after being seen in a drug transaction with Deangelo Daniel. Filiccia, 46, was granted a $5,000 bond and will appear in court again on January 16. Daniel, who fled from police during a traffic stop, faces charges of drug manufacturing, firearm possession, resisting arrest, and child abuse after drugs and firearms were found at his home, where he lives with children, as reported by the Macomb County.

Racquel Dubose, who lives with Daniel and their children, was arrested after a stolen firearm was allegedly found in her vehicle, leading to charges similar to Daniel’s, including child abuse and weapon offenses. Both are set for probable cause hearings in January, along with Filiccia. Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido commented, "The charges brought against these individuals are deeply troubling, particularly given their roles within the community. One is entrusted with shaping the minds of our youth as a teacher, and the other two are parents." He added, "The impact of their alleged actions fractures the trust within our schools, destabilizes families, and casts a shadow over our community’s sense of safety." All three are presumed innocent until proven guilty, as stated by the Macomb County.
