Weld County is gearing up to showcase its agricultural prowess at the 2025 Colorado Farm Show starting tomorrow. The event, a staple for Weld County residents and industry enthusiasts alike, will span over three days, from Tuesday, Jan. 28 to Thursday, Jan. 29. According to an announcement by the county, about 350 exhibits related to agriculture are set to draw in a crowd exceeding 30,000 visitors, as detailed by Weld County.
Contributing to the fair's diverse offerings, the Weld County Extension Office will operate a booth along with the fair board and fair royalty court. At this booth, attendees will learn about the Extension Office's role and the fair itself. For the philanthropically minded, 4-H Club youth will also sell raffle tickets to support their endeavors during the event.
In an educational turn, Tina Booton, Weld County's Weeds Supervisor, will helm a booth providing vital information to combat noxious weeds. Complete with photos, seed samples, and literature on weed control, Booton's booth is positioned as both an information and consultation center for residents looking to identify and manage potentially harmful plant life on their land.
On the topic of preparedness, Denise Bradshaw, Weld County Office of Emergency Management Coordinator, will offer her insights on disaster readiness specifically tailored for small farms. Bradshaw's presentation promises to deliver resources and strategies to effectively prepare for, and to respond to emergencies, per the county's statement. It is scheduled for Jan. 29, from 2 to 3 p.m. in Events Center Room C.
