The City of White Settlement's Public Works Stormwater Team has been busy, to say the least. Following heavy rain, the crew took to the streets, going from bridge to bridge to ensure the accumulated surplus of debris didn't impede the waterways. In their cleanup efforts, the team was surprised to discover none other than a sofa blocking the water's path on Dale Lane.
As the City of White Settlement social media post highlighted, “Much of the debris comes from roads, carried down the streets from in front of homes—leaves, branches, and other obstructions clogging the waterways.”
Indeed, this mix of natural and man-made obstacles created an urgent need for intervention - one our Public Works Stormwater Team responded to efficiently. Cleaning these waterways is critical, as it prevents potential flooding and water contamination that could impact the community.
