In a tragic incident early Sunday morning, a fire claimed the life of a woman in Harnett County. Reports from the Buies Creek Fire Department, as obtained by CBS 17, indicate the blaze began just before 2 a.m. at a residence on Kivett Road, casting an urgent light upon the region's emergency response system. According to officials, heavy flames engulfed the single-story home upon the arrival of fire crews.
The response to the conflagration involved multiple agencies, with Buies Creek Fire Department being the first on the scene. Additional support was provided by Coats Fire & Rescue, Erwin Fire Department, Angier Fire Department, and Summerville-Bunnlevel Fire Department, supplemented by services from Harnett County EMS and Harnett County Sheriff’s Office.
