
A tragic incident occurred in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood where a 2-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to his finger. According to FOX 29, medics rushed to the 1200 block of South 51st Street around 11:22 a.m. today upon receiving reports of the shooting.
The toddler was found injured and immediately transported to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he is reported to be in stable condition. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, and a weapon has not been recovered, as detailed by both CBS News Philadelphia and 6ABC.
While the exact circumstances leading up to the injury are unclear, Philadelphia police indicated that the shooting occurred just before 11:30 a.m., near Regent Street in the Kingsessing section.
