
Last night, a young man's evening took a harrowing turn when he found himself the target of an armed robbery in Laurel. The 19-year-old, whose normalcy was shattered in those few terrifying moments, faced down the barrel of a gun on the 3500 block of Falling Run Road. Anne Arundel County Police Department detailed the incident in a social media post, noting that two suspects had accosted the victim, demanding his jacket and backpack.

According to the police post, a brief struggle ensued before the assailants made off with the victim's jacket. In a stroke of fortune amidst their hurried escape, the suspects dropped the backpack, which the victim later reclaimed. Both are identified as black males, 5'9" tall, dressed in dark clothing.
