Attention all aspiring and professional artists, the Visual Art League of Lewisville is set to host an Art Talk that promises to demystify the nuances of artwork presentation. This free event is your chance to dive deep into the world of framing with experts Kat and Emily from Jerry’s Artarama in Arlington. Slated for Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m., the talk will take place at Lewisville Grand Theater, as per the City of Lewisville.
The presentation will cover gallery-ready frames, illusion floater frames, the importance of proper hanging materials, and much more. Whether it's getting the right open backs or mastering canvas stretching, Kat and Emily are bringing their A-game with a digital presentation, tangible samples for immediate hands-on experience, sample quotes, and of course – a handy coupon for Jerry's Artarama, for those bitten by the framing bug.
Visual Art League of Lewisville members will have the opportunity to enter their art pieces into the Artist of the Month contest, with first- and second-place awards up for grabs. Non-members and guests aren't left out, they're more than welcome to soak up knowledge and explore what the Visual Art League has to offer.
