
A tragic incident on the streets of Baltimore County has prompted an ongoing investigation led by the department's Crash Team. Last night, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Baltimore National Pike, an event that has since echoed through the community.
According to a Baltimore County Police Department release, at around 10:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Baltimore National Pike following reports of a pedestrian involved in a vehicular accident. The sequence of events led to 37-year-old Jessica Davis being struck by an eastbound 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 while she was attempting to cross the road, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, whose identity has not yet been released, sustained minor injuries in the collision and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
