Glenn Richards, a 52-year-old man from Bloomfield Township, is facing theft charges for allegedly stealing a 14K gold chain from a home where he was working. Richards was hired to repair a bathroom floor, but after completing the work on December 21, 2024, the homeowner discovered that her father’s gold chain, which had been on a statue in the same room, was missing, according to Audacy.
The Bloomfield Township Police Department reports that Richards sold a missing item to a pawn shop on the same day it was taken, receiving $200 for it. As detailed by MacombDaily, Richards was arrested on a felony warrant last Thursday and arraigned, where Magistrate Andra Richardson granted him a $25,000 personal bond. His case is scheduled for review in a court appearance on February 18.
