Mark your calendars, as Boston Pride for The People has set the date for the 2025 Pride Parade and Festival—June 14, featuring festivals on Boston Common and Boston City Hall Plaza. Adrianna Boulin, president of the organizing body, expressed her anticipation to Boston 25 News, saying, "These past two years, I have had the pleasure of seeing a beautiful ocean of love, joy, and euphoria on the streets of Boston—all rooted in LGBTQ+ liberation. I expect this year to be just as moving."
The parade route is slated to begin in Copley Square and will wind its way through the South End and Back Bay neighborhoods, culminating at Boston Common where a concert and festival will greet participants, while a 21+ block party is to take its stand in the afternoon on City Hall Plaza, last year the event attracted a respectable crowd, with over one million attendees and 15,000 marchers alongside 316 different groups, 60% of those groups represented nonprofits and community organizations, according to MassLive.
Mayor Michelle Wu lauded Boston's unwavering dedication to love and inclusion. According to a statement obtained by Boston 25 News, Wu said, "Boston always leads as a beacon of love, resilience, and inclusion. As we come together for the 2025 Boston Pride for the People Parade and Celebration, we honor the vibrant diversity of our LGBTQ+ community."
The previous festivals boasted 240 vendors with community-based groups making up 38%, and small businesses 40%, many of which enjoyed reduced registration fees or participated at no cost, for their contributions, 25 LGBTQ+ business owners were contracted to support the festivals, and volunteers from Boston's Constituent Service Center rendered their assistance, as reported by MassLive. Organizations and individuals who wish to register for the parade, festival, or block party, or to submit ideas for the parade theme can do so through the links provided by the organizing committee.
