
Early this morning, a lockdown was activated at White Station High School in East Memphis, following the report of a 'suspicious person' on campus. Action News 5 reported that Memphis Police responded to the call at around 7:30 a.m. and subsequently, the school lockdown was put into place, but was swiftly lifted. During the incident, two people sustained minor injuries, not directly related to the initial cause of the lockdown.
Following the report, Memphis Police arrived quickly, and the school initiated lockdown procedures for the safety of students and staff. The lockdown was mentioned as brief, with classes resuming shortly thereafter, according to information provided by Local Memphis. One student, injured after falling during the lockdown, needed attention from the Memphis Fire Department, who were called to the scene.
