Calhoun County authorities have detained a Coldwater resident implicated in a concern case involving child solicitation. As per the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, 56-year-old Walter Ward Jr. faces charges of accosting children for immoral purposes, attempted criminal sexual conduct, and using a computer to commit a crime. This arrest, which took place last Thursday, follows an investigation that was sparked by a tip about a man purportedly seeking to enlist underage girls for sexual assault, as reported by WOODTV.

Upon receiving this tip, detectives carried out an inquiry and identified Ward as the person who allegedly had arranged to meet with what he believed to be an underage girl. FOX 17 News detailed that the specifics of the allegation emerged from a release by the Sheriff's Office. The authorities revealed that the investigation is still active and are actively seeking additional information that could lead to the identification of potential victims.
