The Denver Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect who reportedly committed theft at the Denver International Airport on January 21, just past the noon hour. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, estimated to be in his 30s, with a height of around 5 feet 8 inches and a medium build. KDVR reported this description based on a release from the Denver Police.
This incident adds to a string of luggage-related thefts that have plagued the airport. Last year, on May 24th, Keith Moore was taken into custody for stealing eight bags in a couple of hours and was subsequently apprehended again on June 1 for an additional theft. According to Denver7, Moore was released after his first arrest but returned to the airport where he committed another robbery.
Authorities have distributed images from surveillance footage with the hope that those in the community might recognize the man and provide his identity. CBS News Colorado shared these images which were released by the police.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or the crimes is encouraged to reach out to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers by calling 720-913-7867. Informants have the option to remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 if their tip leads to an arrest, as reported by both Denver7 and KDVR.
