Local artists in Colorado are getting a unique opportunity to showcase their talents as Governor Jared Polis invites creatives to submit their work for the state's 150th anniversary. The Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway is set to be more than just a path, it's envisioned as a dynamic celebration of Colorado's history and culture. According to the Colorado Governor’s Office, Governor Polis expressed his excitement about the project, saying, "What better way to highlight Colorado artists and our communities than with a walkable art experience that highlights our state's history and future, while also increasing pedestrian safety and walkability."
This call to creativity is part of a larger effort to rejuvenate downtown Denver, including various renovations and new constructions that promise to transform the Civic Center area into a modern urban hub. The Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway, facilitated by a partnership between the Governor’s Office and the P3 Office at the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration with History Colorado, is at the heart of this project.
