The altercation led to a barricade situation, with Ross finally surrendering to police a few hours after the shooting; local resident Katrina, noting the gravity of the situation and the closure of the streets, expressed her concern, stating, "It’s scary, definitely scary. We’ve been here 14 years - lately it's been a lot of things going on around here," in comments reported by FOX 2 Detroit.
