The El Paso Community College (EPCC) is ushering in spring with a flourish of creativity and talent through its annual Spring Arts Festival, running from February to May. This year marks the 48th iteration of the festival, which stands as a testament to EPCC's longstanding commitment to fostering artistic expression across a variety of disciplines. Inviting collaboration and participation, the festival features events ranging from dance programs and literary readings to interactive children's activities inspired by Dr. Seuss.
Art lovers, mark your calendars for the Student Art Exhibition, taking place from March 28 through May 9. Those wishing to contribute their work have a submission deadline of March 13 and a nominal fee of $5 allows for up to three pieces to be entered. For additional details, Marco Sánchez can be reached at [email protected]. The exhibition is poised to be a vibrant showcase of the creativity and diversity that thrives within the college's student body.
"Our events cover a wide range of content such as visual arts, literary readings and a poetry slam, performing theater, dance, and music most of which are free and open to the public," EPCC's Spring Arts Festival Coordinator Caroline Woolf said, as per El Paso Community College. Particular excitement is brewing for the Spring Arts Open House event scheduled for Friday, March 21 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. to be held on the Valle Verde campus, in Building A, room 1318. Offering more than just viewings, the open house will feature hands-on demonstrations from over six different departments, promising an immersive experience accompanied by free giveaways.
