The City of Euless has ushered in a new era of leadership with the recent appointment of Steven Viera as the Assistant City Manager. Viera, whose credentials include a 21-year tenure embellished with local government management experience, steps into his role backed by a diverse portfolio and a commitment to public service.
Euless officials shared their enthusiasm for Viera's appointment, citing his expansive know-how in managing city affairs—his expertise ranging from Development Services and Planning and Community Development to Human Resources and Water Utilities. In his former position in Corpus Christi, Viera oversaw a massive $1.5 billion operating and capital improvement budget. During that time, he launched initiatives to streamline city operations and bolster the rapport between the municipality and its citizens.
"I am honored to join the City of Euless and look forward to serving this vibrant community," Viera stated in a press release by the City of Euless. He was eager to partner with city leaders and stakeholders to "continue delivering exceptional public services that meet the needs of our residents."
With a strong academic background, Viera boasts a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. His professional circle extends to memberships in prominent organizations such as the International City/ County Management Association, the Texas City Management Association, and the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc.
