
In a move that reinforces the state's dedication to technological advancement and efficiency, Governor Landry has named Evelina Broussard as the new Chief Information Officer for the Office of Technology Services (OTS). Broussard, with a career spanning three decades in the Information Technology realm, will now lead the charge in structuring and boosting the effectiveness of Louisiana's programs.
"We are excited to announce that Evelina Broussard is the Chief Information officer for OTS," expressed Governor Landry, "I have no doubt that Evelina will work tirelessly to make sure that Louisiana’s programs are well-structured, and highly effective." According to the Office of the Governor's announcement, Broussard's unwavering commitment to the state and the people she will serve is clear, as she echoed the governor’s sentiments about teamwork and effectiveness.
The new CIO also commented on her appointment, stating, "We all have the same goal, and that is to make this state as safe and efficient as possible," as per the Office of the Governor's official statement. She added, "We are all One Team. OTS is here to support our state agencies. I look forward to working, and growing with each and every one of you."
Before stepping into her new role, Broussard has honed her expertise as the IT department leader for the Louisiana division of Atmos Energy. In her 28-year tenure there, she spearheaded multiple technology and management initiatives, contributing to crucial software, hardware, and process improvements. A lifelong resident of St. Martin Parish, Broussard's educational background is robust, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
