The FBI is on the hunt for Jose Manuel Flores, 47, offering a $25,000 reward for information that could lead to his capture. Flores, wanted for a 2008 Long Beach murder, has been on the lam since being charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in 2010, as per FOX LA.
The search has intensified with the collaboration of the Long Beach Police Department, which believes Flores to have fled California, potentially finding refuge south of the border in Mexico. The federal arrest warrant issued on June 24, 2010, charges him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, the Patch reports.
Flores, described as having brown eyes and brown hair and standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighed approximately 160 lbs. as of 2010. His distinguishing features include tattoos on his right arm, back, chest, head, and neck. Known to use aliases like "Willie" and "Malo," he may also use the suffix "Jr." after his formal name. Notably, investigators believe he has ties to the notorious Los Zetas cartel in Mexico, as detailed by the FBI.
Authorities warn the public that Flores should be considered "armed and dangerous with violent tendencies." They urge anyone with information concerning Flores's whereabouts to reach out to either the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office at (310) 477-6565, or the Long Beach Police Department Homicide Detail at (562) 570-7244.
