San Bernardino County police apprehended a 38-year-old man, Joseph Ryan Felix, following a series of reports of lewd acts occurring around the 11600 block of Cherry Avenue in Fontana. Felix, who has a past marred with various sex-related arrests, was caught in the act of peeping into women's apartment windows, which he coupled with acts of masturbation, as stated by the Fontana Police Department.
The morning of February 6 marked the arrest of Felix after officers received multiple complaints about the disturbing incidents. As Fontana Police Department Detective Ubovich investigated, "several videos of victims unknowingly being recorded were found on his cell phone," a grim discover revealed by KTLA. This arrest sends echoes to a recent case in Orange County where an unidentified man worked to satisfy his vile curiosities with a telescope selfie stick to peer into a young girl's bedroom – a man the family did not recognize, captured on the home's doorbell camera, now sought by the police.
In a plea reaching out to the community, the Fontana Police Department urges anyone with information about this investigation or who may have been victimized by Felix to come forward. A post on the Fontana Police Department's Instagram emphasized the gravity of Felix's actions and the need for public assistance: "If you have any additional information regarding this case or believe you may be a victim of Felix’s activities, please contact Detective Ubovich."
The department also highlights the critical role of community members in ensuring the safety of their neighborhoods. Echoing this sentiment, they reiterated, "Your help is crucial in ensuring justice for the victims," and encouraged sharing their post to widen the reach for witnesses and potentially hidden victims.
