Early Monday morning, Waipahu residents saw the Honolulu Fire Department respond quickly to a commercial building fire on Pupupani Street. According to the Honolulu Fire Department, they received a 911 call at 7:33 a.m., and within five minutes, the first of seven fire units arrived. The fire, emitting light smoke from the two-story building, was met by 23 personnel.

The Honolulu Fire Department acted quickly, securing a water supply and bringing the fire under control within 15 minutes. Search operations confirmed the building was empty, and by 8:03 a.m., the fire was fully extinguished. 

An investigation into the cause of the fire and an assessment of the damage began immediately. The investigation will determine the fire's origin, cause, and the extent of damage to the building.
