On Monday afternoon, a fire broke out on the 11th floor of the Kapiolani Royale in McCully. The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received the call at 2:43 p.m. and responded quickly, with 57 fire personnel arriving within five minutes to battle the blaze at 2474 Kapiolani Boulevard.
Firefighters quickly established a water supply and began an aggressive attack on the fire. They also conducted thorough searches to ensure no one was inside the affected apartment. By 3:11 p.m., the fire was under control, and the final embers were extinguished by 3:15 p.m., according to the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD).
The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) is now investigating the cause of the fire and working on damage estimates. Updates will be shared once the investigation is complete.
