
The Harris County Sheriff's Office has reported the apprehension of four individuals linked to a series of brash smash-and-grab robberies targeting jewelry stores. The crimes, which unfolded between November and December of 2024, not only left several northwest Harris County establishments with significant losses but also substantial property damage, according to KHOU.
Arrested were Dexter Mitchell, 51, his nephew Reginald Mitchell, 22, Shonton Howard, 26, and Christian Venson, 25, all collectively charged with engaging in organized criminal activity while using a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery. In addition, these suspects are believed to have committed similar crimes beyond Harris County, extending into the Dallas area. While not yet convicted, they have left behind a clear trail of havoc and lawlessness. The suspects targeted a total of four locations, including 11303 Veterans Memorial Drive and 3030 N Fry Road, as disclosed by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and reported by Click2Houston.
