A house fire broke out early Monday morning in the Greater Third Ward area, prompting a swift response from Houston firefighters. According to a report by City of Houston, the incident occurred yesterday at around 8:40 a.m. at a residence on the 3300 block of Reeves St., with the Houston Fire Department arriving to find the structure ablaze.

Upon arrival, the firefighters acted quickly to secure utilities and taped off the front porch due to its instability. Despite the challenges, the crews were able to effectively control the fire within approximately 15 minutes. No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. The HFD Arson investigators have been requested to determine to accurately investigate the cause and origin of the fire, which at this stage appears to be accidental.

The resident affected by the fire received assistance from the American Red Cross, which was notified and stepped in to support the occupant. The disaster relief organization is known for its role in helping individuals and families recover after emergencies.

A considerable force of 59 personnel responded to the scene, demonstrating a coordinated effort across multiple fire stations including Stations 27, 2, 15, 8, 46, 7, 16, 25, 6, 24 and Heavy Rescue 11.
