Authorities in Wake County are currently conducting investigations following a water rescue incident earlier today. The incident, which involved an unconscious diver, alerted the Wake County Sheriff's Office at around 10:11 am. The location specified was a lake in the 530 block of Old Quarry Road, and the emergency response was swift.

According to a social media post by the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, by the time first responders arrived on scene, the diver had been pulled from the water.

The diver, whose identity has not been released, received immediate medical attention and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Cooperation between the Knightdale Fire Department, Wendell Fire Department, and Wake County EMS ensured the individual received prompt care.
