This morning, a fire swept through a Jackson home, causing significant destruction and hospitalizing one man. As reported by MLive, emergency crews were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of North Forbes Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. Jackson Fire Capt. Ryan Hendricks stated that upon arrival, firefighters encountered a single-story family home with visible flames emanating from the front porch and the living room area.
Two individuals occupied the home at the time. While one was able to evacuate independently, the other required rescue by fire personnel. The rescued individual, a man, was transported to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital for emergency medical care. According to Hendricks, his current condition has not been disclosed.
Further details provided by WLNS reveal that the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Several fire departments, including Summit Township, Blackman-Leoni Township Public Safety, Napoleon Township, Grass Lake Township, and Henrietta Township departments, provided assistance at the scene, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in responding to such emergencies.
