As the evening rolls in, Jacksonville residents should brace for rain, which is projected to start after midnight and the possibility of gusts reaching up to 25 mph, the likelihood of precipitation is high at 90%, with new rainfall amounts ranging between a quarter and half an inch possible, temperatures are forecasted to take a dip to a low around the freezing mark at 33 degrees, the shift in winds coming from the east at 5 to 10 mph before changing to a north-northeast direction is something to watch for.
Wednesday's outlook isn't much brighter; the NWS predicts mostly cloudy skies with a high only reaching 41 degrees and north winds sustaining around 15 mph, gusts could ramp up as high as 25 mph, so those venturing outside might want to secure their warm layers and wind-resistant attire.
