Knoxville District Attorney Charme Allen announced a hefty 24-year sentence for Keith Antwan Turner, a 33-year-old repeat drug dealer found with cocaine. According to the District Attorney's Office press release, Turner was on probation for previous cocaine sales at the time of his latest offense.

A Knoxville Police Department encounter back on October 9, 2023, with Turner led to the discovery of a small quantity of marijuana and fourteen grams of cocaine. Sentencing for Turner, who also had $692 in his possession, came after a two-day trial in January. As part of the courtroom verdict, the jury imposed a fine of $75,000 on top of the prison sentence.

During Judge Scott Green's sentencing hearing, Assistant District Attorneys TaKisha Fitzgerald and Molly Martin drove the prosecution's point home. At the same time, Assistant Victim Witness Coordinator Sheri Burkett and Legal Secretary Cathleen Wilson contributed to the case's preparation.
