Early Sunday morning, Nevada State Police responded to a fatal incident on Interstate 15 near Mesquite. The accident, a single pickup truck rollover, occurred on southbound I-15 at mile marker 101 at around 3:29 a.m., where authorities confirmed the death of an adult male at the scene. News 3 LV reported that the Regional Transit Commission states all southbound lanes were initially blocked following the crash.
Contrary to initial reports, traffic was not significantly impacted as lanes remained open. The discrepancy in reporting suggests a transient closure, with traffic flow resuming quickly after the initial response. FOX5 Vegas noted that the situation remained controlled and travelers were advised to maintain caution or reduce speed while passing through the affected area.
The Nevada State Police have yet to provide further information, as their investigation continues. Motorists, meanwhile, have been experiencing normal traffic conditions throughout the day since the incident, as per News 3 LV. Anyone with information about the crash or who may have witnessed the event is encouraged to contact authorities.
