The Marietta History Center is throwing open its doors for a day of educational fun centered on Black History. The event, part of the center's monthly Pop-In series, is set for Saturday, February 15, giving families ample opportunity to dive into themed activities and crafts designed to engage and inform. Courtesy of local business benefactors Cauthorn, Owen, and Sanders, the doors of learning and discovery swing wide without cost to all comers.

According to the City of Marietta, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., children and their guardians can venture through exhibits and participate in hands-on experiences at the Marietta History Center, located at 1 Depot Street, Marietta, GA. The occasion is made possible through grants which reflect a dedication of local businesses to enhance community ties through education. February's Pop-In is special; it focuses on a pivotal aspect of our nation's tapestry: Black History.

Details of the day's agenda are not set in stone and may pivot without notice; however, a sampling includes a Cobb Library Georgia Room staff-hosted information table that pairs literature with craft, and another station presented by Window Nation. Both aim to mix learning with play and creativity. The Marietta History Center stands poised to stoke the fires of curiosity surrounding the rich history of Marietta by weaving together engaging stories within the tapestry of experiential teaching.

Those interested in learning how the Marietta History Center carries the past into the future, the center's invitation is an all-day, no-cost passport.
